The 2015 Cork to Galway Charity Cycle, in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research, will launch from Cork on Friday 19th June 2015 from 8.30am.

With more than 100 dedicated cyclists undertaking a 200km cycle to Galway, legendary cyclist Sean Kelly will be there on the day to lend support and lead the cyclists out of Cork.

In celebration of the cycle, official sponsor Coca-Cola Zero Bikes will offer free annual subscriptions for the recently launched public bike sharing scheme to families, friends and supporters who turn out to cheer the cyclists on.

The Coca-Cola Zero Bikes schemes were recently launched by the National Transport Authority in Galway, Cork and Limerick, the three cities that the Cork to Galway Charity Cycle will pass through. The partnership with the Cork to Galway Charity Cycle aims to encourage more people to sign up to the schemes and integrate cycling into their daily lives.

In addition to the free subscriptions, Coca-Cola Zero Bikes will set up a hub in the Cork City Hall Plaza with massages, games, prizes, photos and refreshment for cyclists and supporters alike. Members of the public are invited to visit the hub from 8.30– 11.30am on Friday 19th June.

Supporters will be able to:

  • Win prizes by taking part in the Coca-Cola Zero bikes ‘Pedal for Prizes’ game
  • Take part in a 3D photo of themselves replicating the Coca-Cola Zero Bikes which will allow families to pose for an instantly printed photo of themselves
  • Register for free annual subscriptions to Coca-Cola Zero Bikes scheme in Galway
