We started with over 260 entries from 26 counties across the island of Ireland. Now we’re down to just 22. The 2019 Thank You Fund’s final shortlist has been revealed.

But we couldn’t just make this announcement ourselves. That’s why we recruited the help of popular broadcaster Doireann Garrihy and radio host Pete Snodden to help reveal our 22 amazing finalists. You can find a full list of this year’s final shortlist a little further below.

All 22 shortlisted organisations are in the running to receive a grant of €20,000, €10,000 or €5,000. First though they’ll be pitching themselves to our panel of judges. Then, once the judges have made their decision, this year’s winners will be announced at Zeminar in Dublin on Wednesday 9th October 2019.

The great work made possible by the Thank You Fund is close to Doireann Garrihy’s heart.

Doireann and Pete were also there to call this year’s People’s Choice Award officially open. As with last year, we’re again giving you – the public – a chance to have your say and vote for your favourite project to win €5,000 grant. Cast your vote here – you have until Friday 20th September to do so!

2019 marks the year that the Thank You Fund celebrates over €1 million donated to youth projects across Ireland since 2011. In 2018, Autism Support Louth & Meath received a grant of €10,000. At this year’s announcement, Doireann hosted a special speech and drama class with the former winners, and had this to say: “Creativity and artistic expression really helped my own self-esteem, so to see projects like this one from Autism Support Louth & Meath made possible by the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund is just fantastic.”

You can see for yourself exactly why Doireann’s class was such a special moment:

Thank You Fund ambassador Pete Snodden is already very familiar with the impact of the awards, and encouraged everyone to have their say: “There are young people right across the island of Ireland who’s lives will be impacted by the work of these great local community groups, so I would encourage everyone to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.”

So, why wait? Have your say in the People’s Choice Award and see one very deserving winner receive much-needed funding.
